US Servas is proud to present the Dennis Mogerman Youth Scholarship fund!!! Dennis Mogerman, long time Servas member and traveler, is now generously offering US Servas members ONLY the financial assistance you may need to make your dreams a travel reality.
These $500 scholarships are currently available for US Servas members ONLY who are looking to participate in a SYLE.
They are awarded based on demonstrated financial need and a commitment to the promotion of Servas among youth.
EXPECTATION AND CRITERIA FOR AWARD:
1) A Mogerman Scholarship application completed
2) An interview with the US Servas Youth Team
3) Participation in SYLE as a traveler and fulfillment of all SYLE criteria
4) Publicity:
SYLE participants awarded the Mogerman fund must write/create a presentation of their SYLE to be published in the US Servas newsletter and to be presented to a local group (US Servas or not)
5) Feedback:
Participants must provide timely feedback to the US Servas Youth Team evaluating their experience and offering ideas for improvement where practical.
APPLICATION PROCESS FOR US SERVAS MEMBERS ONLY:
1) Fill out the application online. The SYLE and Mogerman application can be found on the US Servas website at http://usservas.org/Projects/index.php?Page=SyleApplication
2) Send an email to the US Youth Contact to express interest in SYLE and the Mogerman Scholarship at servasheather@gmail.com
3) Upon approval for SYLE participation, a phone interview will be arranged with the US Servas Youth Team
4) Upon approval, funds will be awarded via check
